DESCRIPTION

The object of the competition site is characterized by its status as "extreme" for the green zone that extends south and "edge" on the seafront next to the river. On the other side is destined to project the best views on the environment in the south. These qualities of the site suggest a building whose implementation, far from seeking an environment introverted, stake a territorial relationship with their environment, understanding the green under the specific modification of the General Plan as an extension of its surface.

This object along with the need to fluff the program due to the number of spaces that require natural light, leading to the building to align with the boundaries of the site to concentrate the unoccupied ground on one yard from which occur pedestrian access students to the building in a sequence in which from the green and walking under the threshold of a great porch, this patio is discovered. The porch reaches sufficient height and development in length to achieve a scale commensurate with its environment.

The building is divided into two distinct parts. The first body consists of a triangular outline to fit the site boundaries. This body, which starts in tier formation from contact with the ground of the green zone, oriented to the river, is gaining elevation through a sloping roof plane running through the triangular floor. The other part of the building consists of a set of classrooms and workshop arranged in spaced comb sloping green courtyards that are considered as an extension of the green zone entering the courtyard of the building to the height of the road that circles the building through the west. Since this set of classrooms, one of the larger spaces, intentionally placed in the highest point so that is a visual claim from the campus on the other side of the river.
