DESCRIPTION

The volumetry of the set is formed by a plinth, located in the southern area of the site, which integrates the Exterior and Mixed Areas and two parallel volumes oriented north-south, in the northern part, which group the two Interior Areas with capacity for 416 interns each. The central positioning of these two bodies with respect to the limits of the plot, guarantees the distance of all the rooms, both in relation to the exterior spaces to the center (streets and neighboring plots), as well as to the spaces of the Exterior and Mixed Areas.

The distribution of the residential type plant, in two independent sub-modules, with communication nucleus, services and courtyards of facilities in the central part, offers real flexibility in managing the occupation of the center over time and different groups of inmates (adults, youth), responding to security requirements.

The entrance hall for the use of inmates and technical personnel, is strategically located in the chamfer of the plot. A large porch marks the main entrance and constitutes the instrument of dialogue with the scale of the urban environment: an industrial landscape of large buildings.
